Great Reason #1
Each set of dates will be hosted by three top wildlife photography guides which means a ratio of one guide per four clients at all times. Each guide will rotate through the three custom vehicles meaning each guest will have a chance to learn new skills and techniques from every guide on the safari.
Great Reason #2
The camp we use is permanent and not just a mobile camp set up on a temporary campsite. This has the advantage of larger tents, with proper beds (doubles and singles as required) and en-suite bathroom facilities. The camp is right on the river and also features a lounge area and separate media centre with a big screen for post-production and critiquing sessions.
Great Reason #3
The location of the camp is a crucial aspect to the success of this safari. Rather than basing ourselves outside in a temporary camp outside of the national reserve (which would have been marginally cheaper) Mara Bush Camp is right in the middle of the action. As soon as we leave the camp we are photographing!
Great Reason #4
To get a feel for the sheer magnitude of the Migration its essential to see it from the air. We include both a session in a helicopter (2 clients and one photo guide per 1 hour flight) as well as an early morning flight in a hot air balloon along The Mara River. These sessions always produce some amazing images and are definite highlights for all our previous clients on The Masai Mara Migration photo safaris.
Great Reason #5
We like to bring in our own vehicles which we are able to customise with plenty of beanbags and camera mounts. We have a policy of only four clients per vehicles and one photo guide in each to offer photographic advice throughout the day…every day.
