ENQUIRE NOW

This 7-day journey pairs the iconic wonder of Victoria Falls with the exceptional wildlife of Chobe. Spend 3 nights in Victoria Falls, enjoying a guided tour of the Falls, a relaxing Zambezi sunset cruise, and an included scenic helicopter flight over one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World!

Continue by road to Botswana for 3 nights at the Pangolin Chobe Hotel, renowned for its photo-focused river cruises and game drives. Here, you’ll be guided by expert Pangolin Photo Hosts, with complimentary use of professional cameras and lenses available during your stay.

Perfect for both beginners and experienced photographers alike, this itinerary offers iconic landscapes, abundant wildlife, and hands-on photographic support in Chobe – paired with the unforgettable experience of Victoria Falls.

Upon arrival at Victoria Falls International Airport (VFA), you’ll be met and transferred to the Palm River Hotel, beautifully set along the scenic Zambezi River.

With stunning river views, lush gardens, and an inviting infinity pool, it’s the perfect place to relax and unwind after your journey.

In the evening, enjoy a sunset cruise on the Zambezi, where elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of waterbirds may be spotted along the riverbanks. Drinks and light snacks are served as you soak in the golden sunset, followed by alfresco dinner at the hotel in a serene riverside setting.

The following morning, enjoy a guided tour of the awe-inspiring Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, and marvel at the thundering cascades and dramatic Batoka Gorge. Lunch is served at the iconic Lookout Café, with panoramic views of the gorge. Spend the afternoon exploring Victoria Falls town via the hotel’s complimentary shuttle, visiting charming shops, curio stalls, and local markets. Zimbabwean wood carvings are a highlight, and light haggling is part of the experience. Later, relax by the hotel pool or indulge in a treatment at the luxurious spa with tranquil views of the Zambezi River. In the evening, enjoy Riverside Dining, an authentic African-style barbecue at the river’s edge.

The next morning, we rise early for a 06:00 departure on a private game drive in Zambezi National Park – an ideal way to warm up before reaching Chobe!

Travelling in a private vehicle dedicated to our group, we can linger at sightings and position the vehicle perfectly for photography.

A light breakfast with tea and coffee is served along the way, while you encounter elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes, and abundant birdlife across sweeping savannahs and lush riverine forests. This private safari offers an unforgettable morning of adventure, discovery, and exceptional photographic moments.

Return to the Palm River Hotel for a High Tea on the Zambezi River and a relaxing afternoon, before dinner – served at The Cassia Restaurant at Ilala Lodge, just minutes from Victoria Falls, with the gentle rumble of the Falls in the background.

On our final morning, we conclude our Victoria Falls adventure with a 25-minute helicopter flight over the majestic Falls, providing an unparalleled opportunity to photograph the waterfalls in their entirety. Afterwards, return to the hotel to freshen up and collect your luggage before a scenic private transfer into Botswana, a 1.5–2 hour journey in a comfortable, air-conditioned mini-van.

You’ll arrive at the Pangolin Chobe Hotel, perched on a plateau overlooking the Chobe River and Caprivi Floodplains. Opened in 2018, the lodge features 14 rooms and is built around a wildlife photography gallery showcasing inspiring images from Africa and beyond.

Being on the Botswana side, you’ll have access to the Chobe National Park for game drives, as well as the Southern Channel of the Chobe River for our signature photo boat cruises.

Your time will be split between game drives and a few river cruises along the channel, allowing you to experience the river in its entirety. Each photo boat accommodates up to eight guests and is equipped with 360-degree rotational seats and customised gimbals, ensuring optimal wildlife photography opportunities.  If you want to learn more about the photo boats, please watch this video where Sabine demonstrates all their features.

During your stay, a Canon mirrorless camera with a telephoto lens is available for use of each guest if needed. If you’d like a second camera body or are travelling with someone who doesn’t own a camera, these are included in the package, along with memory cards for your images. Many non-photographers find themselves quickly capturing professional-quality shots! You will have a Pangolin Photo Host accompanying you on all activities, providing expert photography guidance, technical tips, equipment assistance, and feedback to help capture compelling wildlife images.

Between activities, relax at the eco-pool or make use of the air-conditioned editing room at the end of the gallery. Your Pangolin photo host will guide you through image review sessions. As computer access is limited in Chobe, we recommend bringing a laptop.

Meals are served either on the deck or in the dining room, featuring locally sourced ingredients whenever possible, and most dietary requirements can be accommodated. The Pangolin Bar, situated upstairs, boasts stunning views and some of the finest cocktails in Kasane, while the sunken fire pit offers a perfect spot to unwind after dinner. All drinks are included in the price.

By the end of the safari, you’ll leave with a stunning portfolio and photography skills you can use anywhere!

On your final day, you can be transferred to Kasane Airport or extend your adventure to partner properties in the Okavango Delta, Kalahari, or Cape Town. Speak with your safari planner to explore your options.
