Kenya
Born in Italy in 1975, at 26 years old I moved to Kenya to pursue my passion for photography and African wildlife. For the first four years, I lived and worked in an NGO in Nairobi and travelled around the country. In 2007 I decided to dedicate myself to photography full time and until 2012 I lived for most of the year in Kenya’s Masai Mara, where I followed the stories of individual Leopards, Lions and Cheetahs. In these years in the Mara, I also managed to photograph extensively two Caracal mothers with their litters, one of my most intense photography experiences so far. In later years I also spent a lot of time in my other favourite places in Africa, Amboseli, Serengeti and Mana Pools. Since 2007 I have been a professional safari guide, organizing and guiding photographic safaris in Kenya, Tanzania, Zimbabwe and Namibia. So far I published two books of my work, Light and Dust (2015), now sold-out, and One Life (2020). I have been awarded in many competitions and my images have been published in books and magazines worldwide. My limited edition fine-art prints are available through selected fine-art galleries worldwide.
