Born in Italy in 1975, at 26 years old, I moved to Kenya to pursue my passion for photography and African wildlife. For the first four years, I lived and worked for an NGO in Nairobi and travelled around the country.

In 2007, I decided to dedicate myself to photography full-time, and until 2012, I lived for most of the year in Kenya’s Masai Mara, where I followed the stories of individual leopards, lions, and cheetahs.

In these years in the Mara, I also managed to extensively photograph two Caracal mothers with their litters, one of my most intense photography experiences so far. In later years, I also spent a lot of time in my other favourite places in Africa: Amboseli, Serengeti, and Mana Pools.

Since 2007, I have been a professional safari guide, organising and guiding photographic safaris in Kenya, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, and Namibia. So far, I have published two books of my work: Light and Dust (2015), now sold out, and One Life (2020).

I have been awarded in many competitions, and my images have been published in books and magazines worldwide. My limited-edition fine-art prints are available through selected fine-art galleries worldwide.
