One Year On … the Pangolin Voyager has been nominated for Africa’s Best River Cruise Ship 2026

The Pangolin Voyager, the solar-powered houseboat operated by Pangolin Photo Safaris on the Chobe River, has been nominated for Africa’s Best River Cruise Ship 2026 at the World Cruise Awards — her first-ever nomination, arriving in the same month she marked one year on the water.

The nomination places the Pangolin Voyager among an international field that includes some of the most established names in river cruising, several of which have been operating for decades. Winners are decided by public and industry vote, with results announced at the World Cruise Awards Gala Ceremony in Jamaica on 14 October 2026.

“We’ve had four years of nominations and wins in Botswana’s Leading Hotel category for the Pangolin Chobe Hotel. Now it’s the Voyager’s turn. She’s barely a year old and already standing alongside boats that have been on the water for decades — that says everything about the team who built and run her,” said Toby Jermyn, Co-Founder, Pangolin Photo Safaris.
